With the economic cycle seeming more like a black hole, with its long reaching effects touching every corporate entity regardless of its business sector, it’s hard to imagine anyone being able to watch the daily news and not become despondant.  For the last 2 years we’ve seen double digit unemployment, the suspicious government bailouts of the automobile, housing and financial sectors while watching the average private sector salary plummet 41%  (while federal employee compensation rose 17% I might add). There’s not much of a bright spot to make one hopeful as many seek to find any security they can in their (previously thought of) stable corporate careers and retirement accounts they planned on using to provide for themselves and their loved ones. 

This weekend I watched several installments of the Discover Channel’s “The Story of Us” regarding the history of the United States. I was struck with a common theme of those that first settled the colonies as well as those who braved the journey here for the next several hundred years.  They all were entrepreneurs who were willing to risk everything to reach this land where they’d find the freedom to pursue their dream, unencumbered by a king, a czar or oppressive governance.  They were willing to die for a chance to truly live.  Most say that this is what made the country become great. 

Since the great depression and the “new deal” we as an American society have become more and more reliant upon the government and large corporations built on greed and the accumulation of power.  As a result we have gradually allowed the carving away of our identity that founded this great nation in slicing away of our self determination, self reliance and pursuit of our own happiness.  It’s an accepted fact that this country was forged by those with such traits at their very core.  Sadly however today, most scarcely feel empowered to use their God given skills and abilities to seek all that they were intended to experience in life; the very motivation by which their forefathers were willing to die for in order to experience.  By contrast in today’s society, terms like “risky” and “irresponsible” have been attached to what was once seen as lofty and respectable pursuits.  No, in this culture you are only encouraged as a “go getter” if you work hard to make someone else money.

People often ask me why I’m so passionate in my efforts to help others learn to make a living starting their online business.  It’s because I believe that it is the absolute best opportunity to take control back in your life through establishing a marketable online business that garners an above average income.  It’s a stark contract to feeling like you’re Bob Cratchit, working for Ebenezer Scrooge and being satisfied for the crumbs that fall from his table.  I am convinced that anyone can make 6-figures online if they’re determined and are given the right information, encouragement and instruction. 

Online business is exploding with new opportunities every day.  It’s been at least 100 yrs since there was an opportunity where anyone with enough passion and determination could create their own financial opportunity without having to be “connected” with the right people and have a boat load of startup capital. There is so much opportunity that it’s a lot like the Louisiana Purchase where people raced west to stake their claim for what they felt was their God given destiny.

So I ask you; what stress or problems would you have right now if you created an online source of passive income that gave you both financial security and more time to enjoy your life with those you love? How much would you value being able to make any location your office as long as you had a laptop, thus potentially converting vacations into tax deductible business trips?  What problems do you have that less stress, more security and a revenue stream of 8-10K a month wouldn’t solve?

It’s about timing, its about knowledge and its about your passion to pursue the best opportunity you’ll ever have to live life fulfilled without dumbing-down your expectations.  How passionate am I about this? I’m passionate enough that after setting out on my own online “Lewis & Clark” expedition several years ago and staking my claim, I took the time to create a map and come back to lead as many of you through the unfamiliar territory and avoid the obstacles.  In fact I’ve just recently backed that up with a “free coaching support for life” offer to prove how serious I am about this.

I’ve always felt that I’m most effective communicating any message when I’m speaking directly to my intended audience, either one on one or in front of large groups.  Unfortunately most of the times I have spoken or trained large groups were not taped and the ones that have been arent applicable to the present enterpreneurial coaching focus.  When I started my business I made a deliberate decision not to pursue training and speaking engagements as one of my foundational priorities. I wanted to safeguard the type of business life I would create by ensureing that I would contol how I ran it, and not have it run me.  Otherwise it could affect my family by not rpeventing it from mirroring the obligations of my past corporate life where my family suffered as a result of me being in such high demand.  For that reason, one of the objectives I set for 2010 was specifically to begin getting more of valuable content out to you directly on video so that my message can reach more people and yet still keep the foundational commitments I have for conveying the training and inpirational coaching that I’m so passionate about. 

One of the elements you will immediately notice on video is that I am very passionate about what I do.  I have a burning desire to do what I do and that comes accross far better using this medium. To a large extent, blog posts and emails are’nt the ideal method by which to convey that.  In an effort to connect with you genuinely and more often, these will not be videos shot with cutting edge technology and with production values. They will be shot from my home office in the morning or in between client meetings and conference calls.  You can expect for them to occur a few times a week and distributed to you all the same day.  I also intend to have a video tab on the blog so that you’ll be able to refer back to past topics. 

Concerning the video topics; my original thoughts are that they will be based on needs that I hear from you guys, all be it motivational, marketing strategy or business owner mindset related where I feel I can both meet the need and compliment the resources I already provide.  They will stick to my mantra of no fluff but just steady helpings of online business “meat & potatoes” to give you a shot in the arm and create as many “Ahhh! Now I get it!” moments as I can provide.  I truly want to serve as your tour guide as you build your business in a way that allows you to be both successful and live a fulfilled life.  Please don’t overlook that distinction.  I’ve known many who have built successful businesses and yet were slaves to them, hating what they did because of the flawed foundation they built it upon.

My intention is also to make this video content totally free to you all, having chosen not to put them on the Learn2Earn training and support site.  Its not because I think $27 is a high price to pay for all the content and training I give you there.  Rather my perspective is, how does anyone know the level of value and content I provide unless they see the steady stream of it?  That type of honest value has always been my goal and it will not change. Make no mistake, these will not be promo commercials.  That again would not give you the content I am aiming for or for that matter, content that can easily be applied to your efforts.
