The internet is a jungle and the Gorilla is set on destroying the lions and tigers to become king of the jungle. Once upon a time Google was focused on search results that served the consumer but today their only interest is money.

When anyone says: “it’s the principle not the money, you know it’s the money” and as Thomas Jefferson once stated: “Money, not morality, is the principle commerce of civilized nations.”

This list has many names and titles that I already know well.
But there are others that I have heard nothing.
I agree with the opinion that blogging is a business that requires preparation and planning. Successful business is often the result of teamwork. Blogging is no exception, teamwork is very important.

Overall I think its a positive move that Google is revamping its algorithms, as I’ve also noticed a lot of questionable sites appearing in results over the last few months.

At the end of the day, these people who make pointless adsense sites that offer no value might rank in the results, but they’ll end up with a huge bounce rate and in the end no one wins. I know from experience if I click on a page filled with ads and wafer thin content, I’m out of there as quickly as I came!

Needless to say I don’t click on any of the ads on there! I don’t have a problem with web advertising when used correctly, on blogs filled with great content or sites which have useful information. However its precisely those sites that Google is targeting that are most annoying and a complete waste of time!

Thanks for this post! Its easy to be disheartened when you constantly run into people trying to get you to offer your services for a cheaper price. I once drove 100 miles and spent 3 hours with a potential client (who called the meeting) and then was told she couldn’t even afford $50/month. I just wanted to ask her if she thought I should work for free. What she really wanted was worth $2500/month! Anyway, posts like these keep me from pulling my hair out. Thanks again.

Yes you are right about tweet adder, Twitter announced recently that it has updated its security against such automated software and named tweetadder as one of the targets it was defending itself against. Using tweetadder is now suicide for a new twitter account. However the other advice given in this story is sound, email may be dying but that is no reason to still not try and capture that lead. Many don’t know this but you can use twitter as a free sms service. Complete with shortcode numbers for most countries. I use it and other methods to drive customers into my webinars on the facebook platform and convert them after they arrive and I’ve built some ‘know, like and trust’ with them via the webinar. The optin rate is much higher and many become paying customers as well as join my pages and download my apps so I can then do push marketing to them direct to their mobile thru the installed app.

The IM niche is flooded with those worthless publications under fancy ninja titles but it might need another Noah’s flood to clean it up.
