Are you tired of people spamming the living daylights out of you on social media? Worse yet, are you doing it yourself? It doesnt matter if it’s Facebook, MySpace or Twitter; I’m teaching people to make real money using social media by connecting, building strategic relationships and thus cement both the credibility of your brand as well as the viability of your business.
Of course you have a priority to make money. We all do! We don’t want to do this for free. It isn’t a charity. But for the “love of God” can we all agree that we bring more to the table than purely being a billboard for our chosen business? Seriously, you’ve got more tools in your tool box than that.
You’ve got to discover or re-connect with your cause and then champion that with what you uniquely bring to the table. Don’t be another talking head. Be unique, be yourself and connect. Sure, I’m all for automated tweets and messages as a method to support your efforts but you’ve got to engage. If you dont engage people and listen then they will treat you like you’re the equivalent of an online telemarketer.
Remember, you started this business to be different. Don’t undo all of that great foundational motivation and undercut your credibility in order to shrink yourself to the lowest common denominator of social media marketing. Besides, the number of social media followers mean absolutely nothing if you can’t get your message across because neither party is listening. It’s all about being different and getting noticed. You can’t do that doing what the crowd is doing so find ways to stand out. You’re unique, with unique skills and abilities so reconnect with that. Be more than just a spamming billboard and let your unique light shine to attract them to you because you’re specially suited to the business you design to cater to your strengths.
Now take the reins off auto-pilot, engage, be unique and make some real money!
